Farmers Insurance has joined Hendrick Motorsports as a five-race primary sponsor of the Chevrolet's driven by Mark Martin in the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The agreement secures primary placement for Farmers Insurance in five events and associate-level sponsorship on Martin's cars beginning with the May 21 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.

The No. 25 car resembles past Hendrick No. 25 cars, and commemorates when Hendrick first fielded the No. 25 in 1986 – 25 years ago – with Tim Richmond.
Team owner Rick Hendrick also drove a No. 25 at Riverside in 1987 and that is the car that was listed as owned by Hendrick’s father, Papa Joe Hendrick.
“It’s cool to do something, especially for me, that brings back a little bit of our history,” Martin said Tuesday. “When I was trying to get my feet under me, that car was out there. It’s great to pay tribute to great people that were in the sport like Tim Richmond, [crew chief] Harry Hyde and [driver] Benny Parsons.
“This is special to Hendrick Motorsports because this was Papa Joe’s team. It’s very cool for someone who was there and saw it all even though I wasn’t a part of it.”
