Jasmine Guerrero Hosts A Sushi Night For Downtown Clients

On March 9th, 2011, Jasmine Guerrero of the Platinum Elite Team hosted a client appreciation night for current and future clients of hers who reside at the Strata Luxury Apartments in Downtown San Diego, California.

A highlight of the event was a live demonstration of sushi making techniques by Robert Cassidy, Executive Sushi Chef of "Sushi on the Rock" of La Jolla. First picture is of Jasmine Guerrero and Chef Robert Cassidy

The gathering was a great opportunity for neighbors to get together to enjoy some sushi and beverages after a long day at work. The Strata has a excellent first floor kitchen and entertainment facility for it's tenants for events such as this. It was also a great opportunity for the tenants to meet with their Farmers Insurance agent to ask those insurance questions that never come to mind while you're talking with your insurance agent...that's of course, between servings of California Rolls.

By the next day, Jasmine Guerrero was already getting feedback from attendees. "I think you put on the sushi night at Strata this week..," one tenant wrote, "If so, sorry I missed it...first insurance agent I have had that did that! Keep up the good work."

From a tenant who did make it, "Keep-up the great work. YOU ROCK!"

Agents with the Platinum Elite believe in a more consultative approach when preparing clients for future possibilities. That requires a long term relationship, and periodic updates. Insurance should not be a one-time purchase, and then forgotten. It often involves planning, and adjustments.

The following pictures are of some of the steps in sushi-making everyone observed that evening. A layer of sticky rice is spread upon pieces of seaweed.

The pieces are flipped over and covered with narrow columns of seafood, avocado, vegetables, and/or seasonings.

The pieces are carefully rolled. A little bit of water causes the sticky rice and dried seaweed to "bond" together to keep it rolled.

A key step is a tiny "mat" of bamboo is pressed around the rolls to give them their trademark "horseshoe" shape and pack the ingredients together before being cut.

At the end of the evening Jasmine got to try her hand at sushi-making. These were reserved for her friends and fellow event organizers who stayed after. I can personally vouch for the fact that they looked pretty good for a first-timer, and were just as delicious. But it is safe to say, the Platinum Elite won't be losing an agent to the art of sushi-making.
