The Platinum Elite has written about them before.  Blessings in a Backpack helps children maintain their studies by making sure they receive the proper nutrition and relieve some of their stress of not knowing.

Click to read about NASCAR's Mark Martin of Hendrick Motorsports and his support of Blessings in a Backpack...and how Farmers helped.

Or, how Farmers Insurance Open benefits Blessings in a Backpack.

Vote for Justin Rose: Feed more kids through Blessings in a Backpack

Justin Rose has been nominated for the PGA Tour Player of the month for March. If he wins, he receives $50,000 for the charity of his choice.

Justin Rose is a Zurich Ambassador, but more importantly his charity is Blessings in a Backpack which Farmers also sponsors.

For the last two years Justin has joined us at our Blessing in a Backpack Events at the Farmers Insurance Open. We've packed over 500 backpacks with ready-to-eat food items and hand-delivered them to local elementary schools.

Be Counted: Please go to www.pgatour.com/pom and vote for Justin Rose before Sunday, April 8th. It's easy to vote and only takes a few seconds to do so. Justin is currently ahead but every vote counts towards feeding more kids!

For more information: On Justin Rose and Farmers involvement with Blessings in a Backpack visit http://www.blessingsinabackpack.org/justinrose.

Farmers Insurance, Mark Martin #25
NASCAR (2011)
"This partnership makes a lot of sense for Farmers," said Paul Patsis, president of Enterprise Marketing. "NASCAR fans are among the sports world's most loyal and passionate. This is a great opportunity to show them why Farmers is an industry leader, just like Farmers customer and world-class driver Mark Martin."

"I'm proud to be associated with Farmers Insurance," said Martin, a 40-time Sprint Cup race winner. "I've been a customer for more than five years -- my agent is in Searcy (Ark.) -- so I know it's a terrific company that offers the highest quality products and services."

Farmers Insurance at Pocono Raceway: NASCAR & the Hot Air Balloon

Thousands of NASCAR race fans stopped by the
Farmers tent to take a look at the Farmers show car
along with the hot air baloon and CCV
Re-print from Why Platinum?

Driver Mark Martin in the No. 5 Farmers car took on the Five Hour Energy 500 at Pocono Raceway, Sunday, June 12, in Long Pond, Pa., finishing 18th. Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon placed first, bringing home his 84th win.

The Farmers team enjoyed an action-packed weekend leading up to Sunday's race. On Thursday, the Farmers' show car was onsite to support the grand opening of the Philadelphia AgencyPoint where 24 new Farmers agents graduated from training.

The car was also on full display at Friday's Farmers Auto Shop in King of Prussia, Pa. where local consumers received a complimentary multi-point auto inspection while agents talked with potential customers and raffled off tickets to Sunday's race. Local radio station personalities broadcasted live from the event, promoting the new availability of Farmers products in the Philadelphia area.

The fun continued on Saturday when the show car pulled into the Pocono Raceway where it was on display through Sunday. Potential consumers talked with local agents, took rides in the Farmers hot air balloon and entered to win a ride on the Farmers Airship.
